Helmet Section

Front Section with Inner Support

The front section of the helmet was created with an inner layer to support the pointed seam, eyebrow shape, and to help better hold the contour of the face.

Attached Sections

This image pictures that the interior of the helmet is supported and smoothed with craft felt that is impregnated with glue. Then the exterior of each piece was smoothed with a few strategic coats of of Sculpt or Coat.

Interior Hinge

The left side of the helmet was hinged so that the wearer can easily get in and out of the helmet.

Assembly

The sections of the helmet were attached with Barge Cement and the right side of the helmet closed with magnets.

Eye Shield

After being spray painted with three layers of silver spray paint, the helmet was aged with black French Enamel Varnish.

Side Stars

The stars were constructed to snap into the mask once on the wearer's head after closing the hinged section.
